For ages 3 to pre-prep
Make+Meld provide engaging hands-on incursions for kindergarten programs and childcare centres, that align with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Programs can run as term-long weekly or fortnightly programs, or as a one-off workshop.
Our Early Years Woodwork and Maker Workshops focus on developing skills and confidence and getting kids hands-on using simple tools to build their own creation.

Our workshops provide an opportunity for kids to get hands-on with real tools in a safe learning environment. Children will learn how to use tools such as saws, hammers and hand drills under the guidance of trained facilitators.

Children develop hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness while understanding how to use tools in a safe manner. Both girls and boys gain a sense of power and strength as they become more skillful and confident in their own abilities.

Children are engaged through exploration of different materials with a focus on making and creating using timber. Children make their own quality toy or item to take home and learn about sustainability in a unique and memorable way.

Children get the opportunity to be makers, tinkerers, designers and engineers. The toys they make encourage imaginary play.
